I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
